Phil has over 20 years experience delivering potent strategic thinking and design application for many of New Zealand’s best known brands. At DNA, Phil has worked extensively across MSD and CYF and has been integral in leading DNA’s work with MSD service lines in that time. Other landmark work includes Brand creation for the All Blacks, Steel & tube, Asia NZ Foundation, Trilogy, Pasta Nostra, Grow Wellington, NZSF, Opus, Tranzit and Burrito Magic.
A strong strategic thinker and a design thinking advocate, Phil is one of the rare creatives that is also a strategic thinker, articulate presenter and consummate team player.
OK, so he is a tad obsessed with patterns, a little anal when writing guidelines and fastidious on writing and our presentation documents - but we see past that. He has definitely embraced progress and the ‘digital age’, but its with envy, respect and some incredulity that we can report that the man can draw - and draw he does - still.
Phil leads the teams with a view across all creative output and standards in both offices.
Multi-award winning, Phil has been recognised many many times locally at the likes of the DINZ Best Awards, and internationally by Graphis.
His ability to get to the core of the issue and communicate with clients is a key strength. Phil brings experience across a broad range of roles, including advertising and direct marketing, art direction, brand communications, brand strategy, design and online strategy, implementation and expression.
