Naomi Guyer

Senior Developer / Wellington

Naomi joined DNA after an already action packed career in development – most recently being a year with Catalyst and 3 years at Silverstripe – where memorable projects included Maori Television’s FreeviewPlus TV application the My Meridian Self Service portal, and a variety of early CWP projects.

Starting as a nipper (well at the tender age of 15 to be precise), Naomi has been building sites for a quite a while now and still does it for fun in her free time.

At DNA, Naomi has been consumed by projects for MBIE (including the Tenancy website), and most recently the Visa Application Gateway for Immigration New Zealand. She is a bit of a stickler for getting things right, loves a process when it's finely tuned and really puts in the hours to do great work. Recently Naomis’s squad worked on the SilverStripe 4 upgrade for WREDA’s WellingtonNZ.com site - which was in short a monster task. Delivering an upgrade of this scale successfully and efficiently was a great test of process and planning and ultimately of teamwork.

Naomi has an incredibly wide skillset across frontend and backend technology and loves learning new ways of work and new technology. Her blend of frontend and backend expertise means MVC JS projects are perfectly suited to her and she's managed a range of technologies in this are including Angular2 and ReactJS.

She is certainly a snappy dresser (compared to the rest of the blokes in the dev team), and outside of DNA can be found playing live action role play games.
