Alastair Bruerton

Senior Experience Designer / Wellington

Alastair has over ten years professional experience specialising in user experience and visual communication design. He takes a user-centred approach to design to help businesses improve their customer experience across the digital touch points required.

Alastair has extensive experience working collaboratively with business teams and stakeholders throughout the design process to solve problems and challenges unique to each organisation. His broad range of skills allows him to guide projects through the initial strategy and wireframing phase to the creative design and build across a number of digital platforms.

Alastair joined DNA after returning from London where he spent five years freelancing for various companies and agencies including Barclays, The AA, FairFX, Dixons, John Lewis, ILN and JWT. This allowed him to gather further experience working within a range of industries and their different business processes and customer experiences.

Alastair enjoys working in a fast-paced environment using an iterative design process. Using this approach enables him to test and validate the effectiveness of the design changes to meet both the business goals and user needs. He is excited about where design is heading, with the different mediums that are now available.

Alastair graduated from Massey University with an Honours degree in Design majoring in Interactivity. He is excited that Wellington is emerging as one of the most innovative tech hubs in the world and is eager to bring his passion and experience and become part of this design scene once more.
