Donna Maxwell

General Manager / Auckland

Donna has 18+ years experience in marketing, design and professional services, she has experience working both client and agency side. 

Donna initially joined DNA as a Senior Account Manager in Auckland, moving quickly to take the role of Client Services Director where she developed as an integral part of DNA’s Auckland office, across both staff, strategy and client relationships. Her interest in operational performance and DNA’s capability development meant the move in to the role of General Manager was seamless and a natural extension.

Donna has a deep commitment to the creative culture of DNA, a keen desire to see design used for good, a prodigious work ethic and a drive to ensure that what DNA delivers is relevant, valuable, highly effective and commercially powerful.

Her current role at DNA sees her responsible for the performance of teams and the business as a whole, across both of DNA’s offices. Reporting directly to the Board Chairman, she is tasked with delivering on the business strategy in the short and mid term. Still with a hand in key client relationships, Donna brings her insight, analytical mind and experience to bear by helping DNA teams deliver great work and measurable impact.

Donna is a principal of DNA and member of the DNA Board. In recent years Donna has contributed to the Board of the Designers Institute of NZ and been a judge of the BEST awards. 

Kiwi to the core, Donna loves living in her slice of paradise, and also getting out of Auckland and exploring New Zealand with the family in tow.
