Grenville has worked in the design sector for 25+ years consulting on brand strategy, customer experience design, customer needs and customer insights, brand engagement and design thinking with New Zealand businesses across a wide range of categories.
Grenville is a strategic and creative thinker, who’s role for many of DNA's clients is to challenge convention, steer conversations and lead problem solving by infusing the voice of the customer, design thinking, customer intimacy and CX design in to all projects. DNA's objective is always meeting the right balance between strategy, business effect and creativity.
Grenville has broad experience of brand application, brand engagement and customer experience across the full spectrum of traditional and new media. With his guidance DNA was one of the first design agencies to move into online/digital development. DNA continues to be an industry leader in this area. Grenville's experience includes strategy + creative development for the likes of Telecom, AMP, MSD, NZRU, UC, IR, BNZ, Steel & Tube, ACC and BMW.
As principal, he is part of the DNA management team and provides leadership and management to the business. As Creative Director, Grenville plays a hands-on role providing overall high level leadership, objective input to strategic and creative work and ensuring that the DNA teams deliver effective project outcomes.
Grenville holds a Diploma in Visual Communication Design from Wellington Polytechnic (now Massey University).
Grenville is a Fellow of the Designers Institute of New Zealand.
