The Challenge

Helfen are a building surveying company specialising in investigation, remediation and restoration of homes and buildings with weather-tightness issues. Helfen is an independent company – deliberately so; they can act for any party in a dispute. We had to create a site that made them look instantly credible to all who engaged with them, no matter on what front – and significantly up the appreciation current and new customers had of their scale, integrity, people and expertise.

The Solution

Their site solution had to be clear, simple, and most importantly present their approach and people as accessible, credible and expert. Helfen pride themselves on the lengths they go to to get the information they need and provide the most accurate picture possible of what they discover. Their whole focus is uncovering the truth, no matter whether it’s what their clients want to hear or not. Helfen also act as an interpreter on the information that flows between the various parties. We’ve created an identity and a site user experience that is based on making the complex clear. The IA was designed to reflect the benefit of their robust processes and methodology and profile their people. Precision was a metaphor used across the site to amplify the need for the business to be clinically accurate with how they impart information and services at every level. 

The Result

The resulting site and refreshed identity is highly recognisable and clearly differentiates Helfen from others in the sector. The site looks neither like a law firm or a building consultancy, which allows them to work flexibly in their various roles. With large site banners up around town they are now getting more visible exposure. Site visitors are now experiencing a comprehensive introduction and interface with Helfen that is delivered in a simple and compelling manner

Quite apart from finally having an identity and site that better represents their values and what they do, staff have gained a new-found confidence in finally looking credible.
