The Challenge
The previous www.acc.co.nz website although a gold-mine of information, educational and interactive tools, had been struggling from years of gradual design and information architecture evolution. Users struggled to find information and often arrived to the site via a search engine to a page many levels deep, providing them no-where to go from there.
The Solution
The redesign, led by DNA, focussed on improving pathways to information, delivering clear and engaging visual design and providing a more engaging and welcoming tone and manner. The primary goal of the site, to better serve ACC’s clients by improving the quality of their online experience. The various visitors to their site have goals and needs from ACC online which are quite diverse, require a pragmatic and functional design. Meanwhile the ACC brand requires engaging, welcoming and friendly design therefore progressing into a result that needed to consider all sides.
The Result
The new site provides a strong, brand-aligned and highly accessible platform for continuous growth and effectiveness online. It allows for a much more user friendly journey and valuable experience for all core audience groups. ACC are continuing to lead by example in Government with an up-to-date, relevant and well executed site, showing a strong commitment to meeting the needs of their stakeholders in this fast-growing and relationship-changing channel.
