The Challenge

ACC have identified that teaching children at an early age about injury prevention is a very effective way of raising awareness in the wider community. To achieve their communication objectives, ACC needed a product that would engage the target audience and motivate them to learn.

The Solution

Working together, ACC's Injury Prevention team and the team at DNA determined that one of the most flexible, economic and effective ways to engage children in this age bracket is utilising interactive gaming which can be delivered on the ACC website, and further enhanced by extension offline.

The Result

The Danger Rangers characters, concept and interactive learning games produced by DNA achieved huge success. Our approach ensured that measurement of learning outcomes were built into the games, the overall design was carefully targeted and thoroughly testing both for usability and educational merit. Tens of thousands of New Zealand children continue to use the games.

DNA has gone on to create dozens of learning interactives for ACC and other clients delivering measurable educational outcomes.
