Harnessing the Power of Mobile – Why is mobile now so critical to your Customer experience strategy?

The first DNA Open Source event in Wellington looked at the phenomenon that is mobile. Through speaker presentations' and a panel discussion we looked at how mobility and Smartphone adoption is changing the way we connect and forcing a radical rethink of marketing and customer engagement practice.
Grenville Main, DNA Managing Director provided context for the Open Source event series ands DNA’s interest in mobile - Gill Coltart, DNA’s Wellington Business Development lead held down the MC duties at this event. Logan Hodgson AD Digital, DNA led the challenge to our guests on the panel with questions via text from the floor.

Geri Ellis, General Manager Online, Vodafone
Gerri outlined the unprecedentedly rapid take up of mobile in NZ – smart phones and tablets – and the intensity of the relationships user have with them.
Nick Fantham, Online Service Manager, BNZ
Nick described how the BNZ had moved from being the last NZ major bank to adopt mobile to being at the head of the field with the first android banking app in the market
Brent Neave, Senior Digital Designer, DNA
One of DNA’s design savants took the audience through the challenge of designing with so few pixels and the perhaps surprising bounty of single minded, clean and focussed design that accrues.
Panel discussion:
Logan Hodgson, DNA led the floor to throw questions at the panel. As well as the speakers, the panel also included Simon Coley, plus Miki Szikszai and Grenville Main. The discussion reflected the audience’s fascination with mobile trends, adoption and the variety of approaches and stages of development of the various organisations at the event.
