NZTA Bikewise campaign rides again.
February 2012

Pretty impressive numbers were realised by the Bikewise challenge this year. Thanks to the large number of registered riders, this year almost 50,000 bike rides were logged, a massive 768,102 kms cycled and all that resulted in 13,825,841 calories being burned.
This is a great result, and thanks to some of the makeovers in the digital engine that drives Bikewise, users could see more information, be more engaged during the campaign and log info more easily. Leading up to the challenge in February we launched the new Bikewise Challenge website - New Zealand’s National programme of activities, which promote cycling as a fun, healthy and safe way to travel.
For the challenge this year NZTA needed improve the user experience, design and uptake of participants to the Bikewise Challenge (held in February each year). In addition to this they also required a new CMS that enabled them to spend less time administering and coordinating various components of the challenge.
